Northwest Wilderness Medical Training Center is located in the Portland, Oregon area and provides a full range of training options for recreational wilderness users as well as wilderness guides and rescue professionals. We tune the specific content of our classes to the needs and interests of the students. For an intact group training, we can tailor class content to the specific wilderness activity interest of your group.

  • climbing, backpacking, guiding, wilderness rescue
  • mountain biking, adventure motorcycling, ATV touring, hunting
  • sailing, kayaking, river rafting
  • backcountry skiing and snowboarding, snowmobiling

Our class offerings include:

  • Basic Wilderness First Aid       8 hours
  • Wilderness First Aid              20 hours
  • Wilderness First Responder   80 hours
  • Wilderness EMT Upgrade      40 hours
